Made in [……]

Written by Sylvia
If I asked you to insert a name of a country into the blank area of the title, I wouldn’t be surprised if China was at the top of the list.
Whether you like it or not, every time you spend money, you’re choosing to reward a number of entities including the people employed by the business, the business itself, the country/government which collects relevant taxes at each stage of the product/service creation lifecycle. Most people do this unintentionally, as their main focus is on the actual item or service they are about to buy.
It’s something that I have only recently started paying attention to – to check the ‘made in…..’ label every time I make a purchase.
Personally, I DO NOT want to contribute to the billions of tax dollars being collected by the Chinese government, which reigns under the communist regime and oppresses their people.
So, next time you shop, think twice about who you’d like to reward.
